As someone who has been dealing with acne since I was twelve and who is still currently dealing with acne as I head into my thirties, I am always on the hunt for products that will help with my acne, protect my skin, keep it moisturized and help prevent aging. Having acne tends to limit my beauty product options. Either a product is too harsh for my skin or it breaks me out. It’s tough to find a beauty product balance that works with my schedule, my skin, and my acne. After trying tons of different products, endless trial, and error, and spending tons of money, I feel confident to say I have found amazing products that work wonders for my skin while ticking off all my skincare and acne needs. I believe less is more and I try my best not to add ten million products to my daily routine. These are my absolute GO – TO beauty products that I have used and tested for over a year that work wonders for my adult acne and acne-prone skin.
Oxy facewash sensitive
I first started using Oxy when I was in high school and soon tried to branch out to different types of face washes specifically for acne-prone skin but I quickly came back to Oxy sensitive face wash. Nothing was quite like it. It can be used every morning and every night. It’s that gentle and for someone with acne, and sometimes cystic acne this is important. It has been formulated specifically to treat acne-prone skin and its deep cleanses while removing dirt and oil, which keeps your skin feeling clean without completely drying it out. Oxy sensitive facewash is one of my ”must-have” beauty products.
African extracts rooibos refreshing toner
I am completely in love with this product since I decided to branch out and try something new. What drew me to this toner is that it contains Witch-Hazel and Vitamin E extracts. Witch-Hazel has multiple benefits, and it’s perfect for someone who struggles with acne. A few benefits include shrinking pores, reducing inflammation and soothing the skin. Vitamin E helps prevent aging, keeps your skin hydrated, and assists with reducing the appearance of scars. This toner has been amazing to use especially when I have those sore, cystic breakouts. Anyone with acne and cystic acne will tell you that there is nothing worse than using a toner that makes your skin and acne burn and flare up but that doesn’t happen with African extract rooibos refreshing toner. It calms my skin down while leaving my skin clean and ready for the next step of my beauty routine.
Environ A, C & E Oil
I have been completely obsessed with this product and I have seen amazing results since using it. I apply this oil to my face every evening after I shower and have found a significant improvement in the appearance of my acne scars, uneven skin tone, and sun damage. It also nourishes my skin, leaving it feeling soft and smooth without breaking me out. Because of my acne-prone skin, it is very rare for me to promote or use oils on my skin because of my oily skin, but this product has been amazing on a whole different level. If anything it soothes my breakouts and calms my skin down. Another great benefit of Environ A, C & E Oil is that you can use it all over your body and not just your face. It’s been formulated for both your face and body which is a complete win-win if you ask me.
Nivea anti-age face sun cream
This is my daily go-to sunscreen that keeps my skin looking matte while protecting me from those harsh UV rays. Nivea anti-age face sun cream is non-greasy, fast-absorbing, water-resistant, and a lightweight sun cream that I am obsessed with. When I apply it after my moisturizer, I don’t feel like I have tons of products on my skin. It’s amazing. I have always struggled to find a sunscreen that doesn’t make my skin oily and doesn’t break me out and I have finally found one. This product helps prevent sun damage, early onset of skin aging, wrinkles, and fine lines, and, as I head into my thirties, this is so important.
